Minutes of Ayr & District AGM 2016
Ayr & District Pool Leauge Annual General Meeting - Sunday 7th August 2016

Roll Call All teams represented from last season with the exception of Glenburn and The Saints. This Saints team will not be entering a team this year.
Chairman Report Wullie McCartney could not attend today’s AGM and left a written report.
“Sorry I can’t make it to this A.G.M. as I am on holiday in Jersey. Last season went off to a bad start, with teams entering the league and then pulling out after league fixtures were drawn up, we also lost our secretary after a few cock-ups.
The league struggled all season because of what happened at the start, it meant every week we had teams that didn’t have games to play. There was also a lot of disharmony creeping into some of the games; this will have to stop as the league will lose a few good players and teams. In the last few years we’ve lost the Dynamos, who now play in C.A.P.L, and also Martin Fisher and Stuart McCulloch to Kilmarnock.
Congratulations to all the teams that won various competitions in the season, a special mention to my own guys, The Horseshoe Enable, who won the Consolation Cup. Well done to Martin Fisher on winning the Ayr and District Singles and also the Doubles with Stewart McCulloch. I would also like to congratulate Tony McCartan on winning the Ayrshire Singles, a great achievement.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Liam and Craig for their outstanding work and also thank you to the committee members for their input.”

Secretary Report
Again just emphasizing what Wullie already mentioned. Congratulations to all winners of various competitions. I feel a couple of aspects could be improved upon, updating the league table and stats for example. I will manage and update these every Monday in the upcoming season.
Thanks to all the sponsors.
Congratulations to all the players who represented Ayr and District at Super 15s/11s, and to any players who had the honour to represent Scotland.

Treasurer Report
Craig Caulfield could not attend the meeting and would like to note he is stepping down. The position of Treasurer will be addressed at an upcoming committee meeting, which will be held Sunday 14th August in Ayr 8 Ball Club.
